You see adverts on the TV and across social media relating to teeth whitening products, state of the art toothbrushes and enhanced toothpaste all the time. This is because so many people recognize the importance of having strong, healthy, pearly white teeth. Now, this isn’t just for aesthetic purposes, it’s also to ensure your teeth last a lifetime and your gums stay disease-free.

However, the appearance of your teeth is important. It’s one of the things that people notice first during interaction; whether you’re talking, smiling or laughing, people will spot your set of teeth. In the society we live in today, people often judge someone based on their looks and this applies heavily to those who are in the acting or modeling industry.

Earning a living for how you appear in front of a camera can leave you vulnerable to a tonne of criticism, judgement and rejection based on your physical features. Whilst this may seem very harsh, it is absolutely necessary. After all, companies are essentially going to be paying you for how you look, and how you look will determine how well their marketing strategy or film will do.

Like I’ve already touched on; if you’re a model or actor going to an interview, one of the first things that will catch their eye is your teeth. The whiteness of your teeth can literally be the difference between landing a job or being unsuccessful. Usually personality would be a huge factor during an interview. But, in the acting or modelling industry it is significantly less important.

Of course, your personality will be taken into account. No-one is going to want to work closely with someone who doesn’t possess particularly pleasant personality traits. But, your appearance will be the telling factor, and let me tell you, your smile will go a long way if it is gleaming and vibrant.

Unfortunately, so many talented and amazing actors or models are getting turned down every week due to their teeth. They could have the best skill-set and most endearing personality, but lacking a sparkling smile will make it extremely difficult to progress through their career. But, luckily the shade of your teeth can be changed with time.

Nowadays, there are a multitude of different products that help people gain whiter teeth. Whether it is a more powerful toothbrush, specialist toothpaste or a tooth whitening kit, you can do something about your yellow or brown teeth. By doing this, you won’t just be able to obtain more success as a model or actor, your confidence and self-esteem will also improve massively.

Ultimately, in order to land big jobs that will both pay well and further your career, you’ll need pearly white teeth. I can’t stress how important this is, as I’ve witnessed so many people left disappointed due to bad teeth. You want to make a good first impression, and a big gleaming smile will allow you to do that!
